Just Ramblings...

I have created this blog to help and reduce the stress I seem to incur on a regular basis. It is a therapeutic tool for my soul. Sometimes, people are just not nice to me, truly...they're not.

Location: Edwards AFB, Doha, Qatar

I am a dreamer. I spend most of my day dreaming about where I would like to be, where I would like to go, what I would like to do, what I would like to eat, how I would like to sleep, so on, and so on. Nothing really exciting about me, just try to live a life and have fun with it.

Oath of Life

I came across some promises I made to myself a couple of years ago, I wrote them down on a piece of scrap paper. I read them and was surprised to still feel the same way. My career ambitions change as much as I change my underwear, but these promises seem to be deeply rooted in my belief system.

They are:

  • I will maintain truth in all my relationships
  • I will always love and appreciate my mother for her devotion to family and community
  • I will remember the great things I have learned from my mentors, and strive to mentor others that follow behind me
  • I will always do my best and work hard towards life goals
  • I will live with purpose
  • I will worship God in all I do
  • I will enjoy life and all its wonder
  • I will trust and love all
  • I will have fun with all I do, or at least try :)
  • I will pursue happiness in my career, personal life, and community
  • I will act with goodwill

Instructor From Hell

So I took a Technical Writing course for my degree program with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. I don't consider myself a great writer, nor even a good writer. Especially when it comes to the technical aspect of writing. My instructor is very blunt and speaks his mind even more so than my grandmother. He spares no feelings. I don't really know how to take his comments and advice, but I do know I don't like him. I guess the key to keeping sanity is to love all, but not to give a shit what someone else thinks of you. But just to share my instructors advice to a student still pursuing a degree, and working in a professional organization, he has this to say:

Your Report Received 08-10-2005 16:23Comments: If you're happy, I'm happy. But you really should hit some basic-grammar textbooks or seriously try to avoid any jobs where you must do much writing. Definitely, you should brush up on punctuation rules. Take a look at my comments, please. Use "end_of_tunnel" as the password for the final, please. ==Best, Reinhold

Thanks Reinhold, but I will seriously try to avoid any instructor that is such an Asshole like yourself!!! Thanks for the "C."

I Love My Grandma

My grandma likes to voice her opinion, and it isn't always what people want to hear. Ha. But I love my grandma regardless of any unpopular opinion she may have. I am an Airman in the U.S. Air Force, and she is proud of me. She gets disappointed if I "bitch" about my so-called sacrifices I may endure. Well, I could do a better job in being positive, but it feels better to just vent now and again. I will continue to serve my country with pride and live by the Air Force core values...Integrity First...Service Before Self...Excellence In All We Do. Although I will put service (my job) before my personal desires, that doesn't mean I can't bitch while serving. I think it is healthy, but then again, I have been wrong before.
